Project Background
The Regional Healthcare Workforce Planning Collaborative consist of the regional coordinator, the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council Foundation (DFWHC Foundation) Workforce Center; software vendor Orca Eyes; participating hospitals, Baylor Health Care System (14 hospitals), HCA North Texas Division (12 hospitals), Texas Health Resources (25 hospitals), Parkland Health & Hospital System and UT Southwestern University Hospitals. The goal of the collaborative is to bring together North Texas stakeholders to better understand healthcare workforce needs.

Overall, the work of these partners has resulted in an online workforce planning tool. This regional roll-up of hospital data creates benchmarks so everyone can have a perspective on workforce needs. This information is being shared with educational partners to insure a good pipeline for training of the future workforce. It is also being used to develop regional initiatives to ensure North Texas has the right workforce at the right time.
