NTREC’s Howe details physician shortage

Dr. Richard Howe, executive director of the DFW Hospital Council Foundation’s North Texas Regional Extension Center (NTREC), was interviewed by HealthLeaders Media earlier this month on the physician shortage in Texas. The story was prompted by the release of a survey commissioned by the NTREC and conducted by Merritt Hawkins detailing the alarming shortage of doctors in the state, with 35 counties having zero physicians.
