NTREC to host two webinars in early 2014

Teaming with the regional extension centers of Texas, the North Texas Regional Extension Center (NTREC) will be hosting two free educational webinars in early 2014.

The first webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, January 14 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Titled “Stage 2 Changes – Core, Menu measures and how CQMs will be handled,” the session will be hosted by Dr. David Nilasena, Chief Medical Officer Region IV of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The second webinar on Wednesday, February 5 from 12 noon to 1 p.m., will cover “ICD-10 – What you should be doing to prepare.” Susan H. NTREC, funded by a 2010 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and
Human Services, Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology
, has a mission to provide education and assistance to physicians when implementing Electronic Health Records (EHR) technology to improve the quality of healthcare services in the region. Established by the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council Foundation, NTREC assists physicians in 42 North Texas counties in implementing EHR.

NTREC will be hosting the webinars in coordination with the Gulf Coast Regional Extension Center, West Texas Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center and the CentrEast Regional Extension Center.
