North Texas Preceptor Academy set for May 22-23

The Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council Foundation’s Workforce Center will be hosting the North Texas Preceptor Academy, May 22-23 at Texas Woman’s University (TWU) in Dallas. The two-day educational event is designed for registered nurses interested in learning more about precepting. Sessions will assist the beginner as well as the experienced preceptor.

The program will be held in TWU’s T. Boone Pickens Institute of Health Sciences, located on 5500 Southwestern Medical Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75235.

Preceptors serve a vital role by promoting competence, familiarity and confidence in new nurses. Learn the responsibilities, objectives and best practices for precepting. Nursing contact hours will be offered each day.

Speakers include representatives from North Texas hospitals and nursing schools. Cost for one day is $75 and two days $100. Fee includes continental breakfast and box lunch.
